Funding Rate Arbitrage: Reading Cross-Exchange Funding Spreads
Updated: 2026-10-17 · Türkçe
Funding arbitrage tries to capture the funding difference for the same instrument between two exchanges — long where funding is low, short where it is high — aiming to stay price-neutral. This page explains the method; it is not a recommendation.
Reading the spread
Normalise both rates to the 8-hour equivalent. −0.01% per 8h on A and +0.02% per 4h on B (+0.04% per 8h) give a 0.05% per 8h spread. ByStock's "Spread (8h)" column computes this for every pair.
Risks
Spreads change every period.
The legs can move differently (basis risk); one leg can be liquidated.
Fees, slippage and transfers can erase the spread.
Different collection times mean cash flows don't line up.
