Leverage formula
Notional = margin × leverage. Quantity = notional ÷ entry. 100 USDT at 10x is a 1,000 USDT position; at a price of 100 that's 10 units.
How PnL is calculated
Long: (exit − entry) × quantity. Short: (entry − exit) × quantity. Fees are taken on entry and exit notional (taker usually 0.04–0.06%). ROE = net profit ÷ margin: a 5% move at 10x is about 50% ROE — losses scale the same way.
Leverage risk
Leverage magnifies gains and losses equally and moves the liquidation price closer to entry. Always check the liquidation price before the target.
